"I love the American French Tool Press! It is a work of art itself. I found it very easy to set up and use. The press has worked flawlessly over the years I have been using it. It is very easy to prepare the press for a print run.
I am very impressed with the consistency of the prints and the fine adjustments I can make with the press to bring out the subtleties of the plates I make using the double exposure method with an aquatint screen.
I bought the American French Tool Press new from Conrad Machine Company because I needed a really high quality etching press to use with my research and testing when I began to adapt my Precision Digital Negatives/Positives System to Photopolymer Gravure. I made the right choice. With this press, Photopolymer Gravure, and the PDN Photopolymer Gravure plate making workflow I have developed, I am consistently producing absolutely stunning prints, image after image.
In fact, I liked my press so much that I bought a second Conrad Press, which I use in my Photopolymer Gravure & Precision Digital Positives Workshops in the San Francisco area."
